South Side Ridge comprises just 12 luxury homes on an exclusive development. With country views & generously sized rooms, Beckett & Beckett Interiors have created an interior that sits perfectly in its environment. Our key focus was on creating a scheme that resonates with a wide audience, as well as delivering an interior that is recognisable as our own.
It was important to stay away from a typical show home aesthetic. Show home interiors can often overuse mirrors and high shine pieces of furniture in an attempt to create spaciousness. Our objective, as with all our projects, is to create an environment that enriches and improves the feeling of our clients. Additionally, and in particularly with a show home, we strive to add value to each space.
Flooded with natural light from the south, the guest suite provided the ideal setting for a rich, moody interior. Owing to the floor to ceiling windows, our pallet of rich olive green & earthy greys were perfectly balanced by the abundance of natural light. Finished off with brass elements within the lighting and furniture.
To emphasize the wooded views, our scheme incorporated lots of natural textures. Accentuated through both the detail in the wall covering, as well as subtle styling hints with pampas grass. Another key feature within the room was the panelled headboard. The depth of colour acts as a frame to the bed setting. Allowing it to take centre stage within the space.
Creating a theme within kids rooms comes with its dangers. As well as keeping it fun for youngsters, their bedrooms need to have a timeless element. Using a neutral palette of colours we added interest with headboards and soft furnishings. Particularly in the nursery room, the fun and playful curves of the bespoke headboard perfectly frame the concrete effect lamps and washed oak bedsides.
