After viewing our Spenfield House project, our clients based in Horsforth approached us for a full re-design of their home. Eager to put their own stamp on the property, they trusted our vision through the whole process and embraced everything that interior design has to offer.
Incorporating a warmer, more natural porcelain tile to run throughout the ground floor, dressing each room with textured wall coverings and sumptuous soft furnishings, and reconfiguring the placement of key lighting pieces enabled us to transform the feel of the entire space. Bespoke elements included an oval dining table and a full kitchen made using Italian veneer, both manufactured and installed by our team of skilled joiners, which created a bold statement in a neutral setting. The removal and reinstallation of a high-end, two-sided gas fire allowed us to offset the lower entertainment space, creating two zones: a formal dining and living area, while a duo of three-metre curved sofas finished the scheme off perfectly. In contrast, the snug boasted a richer and darker palette, with bespoke furniture and heavy curtains adding a luxurious quality.
Set within the eaves of the property is the second floor. A master suite, guest bedroom-come-office and house bathroom were our next focus. The bathroom had the bones to be something magnificent. The original bathtub, situated beneath a skylight, was replaced with a large charcoal stone successor. To compliment this, we specified a darker tile, which enabled us to establish a sense of depth and moodiness. Tactile wall coverings were used throughout the bedroom areas: a textural sisal with natural shade variances in the master suite and an exquisite green leather in the guest-come-office. Bespoke antique brass poles were installed in both rooms to display soft linen voiles and wool curtains.
