Living Room, Pudsey

Monochrome musing

We began with a living room that required both a new look, and a new layout. Built around some existing pieces, we combined new lighting, furniture & soft furnishings in this elegant scheme. With a bay window at its heart, the room required a bespoke scheme to maximise the potential of the room.

Bespoke window dressings

Every window presents unique challenges, none more so than bay windows. Each with their own shape, angles & frames. Choosing the correct track or pole can make, or break, the success of a bay. After seeing one of our previous projects, our client wanted to introduce both voiles and curtains to the window. Using a Silent Gliss system we were able to template the perfect shape, and install two bespoke tracks to perfectly fit the bay, and wrap elegantly around into the room.

In the details

Combining natural marbles, smoked glass and plush velvets was integral to elevate this monochrome scheme. Without colour, its important to add texture and atmosphere. The voiles provide a beautiful intimate light whilst the water silk wall covering offers a subtle sheen across the walls. Layered on top of this backdrop is the combination of black & white marble details, luxurious textiles and statement accessorising.

Patterned Upholstery

Finally, we commissioned two hand crafted occasional chairs to complete the scheme. Adorned in a cut velvet inspired by the undulating formation of natural rock, they are the focal point to this compelling room. Each chair is finished off with a polished wood plinth & legs that bring a contemporary, luxurious aesthetic.
