Interiors for 2020 & Beyond

A new year brings new trends

Year on year we see new trends in the interiors world. We’ve made some new additions to ensure we’re the most current interiors showroom Leeds has to offer.

As well as new additions to our design library, expect to see new furniture, furnishings & accessories. In particular, you’ll find a series of statement lighting. Contemporary takes on classic chandeliers, paired with sculptural floor lamps and timeless table lamps.

Rich tones

Bespoke furnishings is something central to all our projects at Beckett & Beckett. We’ve installed a new headboard to showcase the perfect bedroom scene. A trend we expect to continue throughout the year is the use of rich velvets. Colours such as the old gold we’ve used here, but also look or for olive greens and deep navy’s. Its certainly a trend we’re well behind.

Natural textures

Whether its a rustic linen, textured boucle or a Scandinavian sheepskin, natural textures will play a bigger part than ever in luxury interiors. These work especially well in minimal & paired back schemes.

As consumers we are realising the need to reduce the amount of products we buy and consume. Especially when it comes to interiors, we’re trying to purchase items that will stand the test of time and be adaptable to new looks and ideas. A great place to start is with made to measure window dressings, an investment that, if made wisely, will last for many years.

Investing in key pieces of furniture significantly reduces the need for change and waste. Great design will always be adaptable to new colour schemes and even new spaces. Classic shapes and quality materials will give longevity to your interiors.

We love the way this is demonstrated in this Hidden Hills home, photographed by Architectural Digest.
